BF6 Battle Royale Launches Very Soon as a Free-to-Play Experience
After quite some time of speculation, the battle royale mode for BF6 is at last releasing. Last week's talk suggesting its arrival would coincide with the first season were true. Gamers can dive into the gameplay starting in just a day.
Season 1 Adding a Brand-New Arena, Game Type, and Weapons
In tandem with the BR release, the new season is also beginning. This brings a fresh location, a new mode, and an expanded arsenal. What's more, the Redacted Sector is being introduced. An embedded trailer will go live at go-live, providing players a preview of what's to come.
F2P Model Makes the Mode Available to All
Perhaps the key announcement is that this new experience will be F2P. Similar to popular titles, you don't have to purchase the main title to join in. A number of gamers have already experienced early versions of the experience. Those trials were conducted in a collaborative space, which the developers described as their most ambitious player partnership effort.
The intense thrill while fighting opposing teams can't be found in other BR game. It feels a true survival situation, and you really mind if you die or survive.
Despite being a critic previously, I'm now supportive of the new mode after playing it.
Such early feedback from players have been overwhelmingly favorable. Naturally, the experience may have changed over the last couple of months in terms of tuning and pace. Still, early signs are strong that the battle royale could emerge as a true rival to popular games. Players are expecting that the best guns from the original Battlefield 6 will carry over in the new mode.
