The men are celebrating a massacre that humanitarian officials suspect resulted in the deaths of over two thousand individuals in the Sudanese metropolis of al-Fashir in recent weeks.

After maintaining the urban area under siege for almost two years, from the summer the militia advanced to reinforce its dominance and restrict the remaining civilian population.

Orbital photography reveal that forces began to erect a massive sand wall - a elevated sand barrier - encircling the perimeter of the city, blocking entry points and preventing relief supplies.

While the blockade worsened, 78 individuals were murdered in an RSF strike on a mosque on mid-September, while the United Nations reported fifty-three additional were killed in unmanned aircraft and heavy weapon attacks on a displacement camp in fall.

Disturbing Video Depicts Unarmed Individuals Shot

At dawn on 26 October the militia defeated the last army defenses and captured the central headquarters in the urban area, the main facility of the Army Division, as the military withdrew.

Regardless of the social media effort being deployed by the paramilitary, their actions in el-Fasher have provoked global anger.
