The newcomer His maiden beginning with the national team. A bit sloppy on the ball however his whipped corners were a threat. An effective game manager for the coach to call upon versus sides that sit back. Shown a yellow after a reckless challenge. 6/10

Declan Rice Crosses on corner kicks and set-plays created chances. Had room to move in left midfield yet found himself offside when the ball arrived in front of goal. Granted a merited substitution on the hour mark. 6/10

Jude Bellingham Functioned in an advanced spot on the right and did plenty of the hard yards. Displayed moments of class but scuffed a shot high. Substituted towards the end for a teammate, his rival, after receiving a caution. 7/10

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s best chance in the opening period, his effort smartly stopped by the opposing goalkeeper. As Quansah holding position, it fell to him to stretch the play out wide yet his deliveries from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced late in the match. 6

Harry Kane The difference-maker scoring 77th and 78th strikes for his country. The opener a typical close-range tap-in and the second a classy finish with his head having drifted away away from the opposition. At 32, his form is unwavering and England have every chance in the upcoming tournament with him up top. Eight

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play on the left flank. Had a decent opportunity after being played in from a teammate but Strakosha kept it out. His replacement produced a bigger influence when substituted. 5/10
