The star has handed over the full amount of his twenty-five thousand pound Mercury Prize prize money to the trust for venues, which operates to protect the Britain's grassroots live music spots.
Fender was given the prize on October 16 as his third album his work was chosen as the best record of the past year.
Fender has decided to hand the money over to the trust, in recognition of the essential function local spots played in his early career.
"As an artist wouldn't be doing my current career if it wasn't for all the performances I played around the region, and further afield, when I was starting out," said the artist. "These venues are iconic, but they are facing challenges."
From early 2023 onward, more than 150 of these spaces have permanently closed – roughly 16% of the entire UK sector.
In the last year, major artists including Pulp, Coldplay, the singer Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all supported the trust in its initiatives to keep the scene afloat, by including a small levy to their ticket prices, which goes to help smaller concert halls.
He also participated, raising over £100k on his 2024 arena tour to support numerous local spots across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These funds helped spaces that were confronting potential shutdown due to difficulties caused by flooding, blazes and personal losses, as well as permit problems, legal disputes and noise complaints.
Additional spaces obtained financial assistance in upgrading infrastructure and sound and lighting systems that positively impacted artists and concertgoers.
"The idea that money from shows in big venues backs the smaller venues, where it kicks off for musicians like me, is just common sense," Sam Fender has stated.
Fender is far from the only musician to give his honor prize money to charitable organizations.
When they received the award in the year 1996 for their album Different Class, lead singer Jarvis Cocker declared that the act would donate their prize money to the charity War Child.
During 2002, artist she shared her bounty across multiple good causes, like the children's charity and a charity for Sickle Cell.
"I also donated a thousand pounds to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I did gymnastics when I was younger and they needed better apparatus," Ms Dynamite told the media.
Previously, the band donated their funds to the youth organization that supported their group, in addition to other local music groups.
And winners that year M People gave their award to a multiple sclerosis charity after a acquaintance was diagnosed the condition.
"The victory was quite enough," stated artist the singer. "The cash was the cherry on top but we didn't need the cherry, because we had the cake. So our winning affected another person's life."
Last week, the trust revealed it had protected two small stages in the South East, by bringing them into community ownership.
One venue in the city and the second in that location were bought under the public acquisition scheme, which is funded by Arts Council England and enthusiasts who buy "shares" in the venues.
