The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Third Season
The Secret Organization is set to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, audience-beloved member has just been cast.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. The role can use their power to change into an exact copy of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their right hand. The performer, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action show, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.
This performer joins multiple recently announced actors set to bring the group to the screen, including leader Sir Crocodile, played by Joe Manganiello, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the desert kingdom.
Even though the role is a key figure of the organization, the character won’t appear until One Piece the upcoming installment. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the timing of their first appearance, one that could suggest more adjustments to the narrative framework.
Their mix of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the role. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and numerous honors for writing and starring in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised roles.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is due to premiere for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
