Vince Zampella, Has Died in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision
The visionary game developer, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has tragically died in a traffic collision in the state of California at the age of 55.
Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.
The celebrated game designer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and burst into flames on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday, US media outlets report.
"This is a heartbreaking loss, and we stand with Vince's family, his loved ones, and the countless individuals inspired by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts said.
